From March 2001, the
Michel Giraud gallery is situated on the left bank of Paris, in the
heart of one of the famost area regarding Art Deco. As such, it is
now one of the most prestigious galleries presenting this period. Mr
Giraud wished his gallery to be an agreable place for his collectors,
by recreating the interior's ambiance of a 1930 'amateur', who would
share, through his every day life and through specific exhibitions,
his discoveries and passions. |

Although furniture is
very well represented with a selection of artworks by artists such
as Ruhlmann, Printz or Sornay, the other artistic media are not
forgotten: beside fire art with ceramics, enamel and glasswork, the
gallery also exhibits sculpture and painting.
Even if the Michel
Giraud gallery is mainly devoted to the Art Deco period, it still
stays very involved with XXth century art : from Max Ernst
surrealism to contemporary artists. |
